Location
The NAL State Archive of Latvia contains documents of higher public administration institutions and other establishments of the Latvia SSR (1940-1941), (1945-1991) and the Republic of Latvia (from 1991 onwards), local government institutions of the cities of Riga and Jūrmala, collections of Latvian and foreign individuals, organisations of exiled Latvians. The Archives also contain documents of the Latvian Social Democratic Party, Latvian Communist Party, Latvian SSR State Security Committee about repressed Latvian inhabitants. The Archives continues to actively accumulate documents.
